January 2019 – Lauriane Lebrun, Marketing & Communications Coordinator

Located in Rochester, NH, Willem Verweij & Associates Physical Therapy provides “Individualized, Compassionate, Quality Care” to patients using a “combination of hands-on care, targeted exercise, and education.”  Services include physical therapy focused on neurological and vestibular rehab, orthopedics, and women’s health.

Verweij & Associates also offers a Running Clinic for anyone looking to beat their personal best, overcome an injury, or avoid recurring injuries.  Using special video software, the Running Clinic physical therapists are able to record a patient’s run and follow up with a detailed analysis of any issues, such as over-striding or poor posture.  To help improve the patient’s run, an individualized treatment program is then developed which may include exercises, training modification, shoe/orthotic advice, and/or manual therapy.

Online, the Verweij & Associates’ blog offers insights and advice on topics such as vertigo and vestibular rehab.  As this client spotlight is being written for Lexian’s January E-Newsletter, I’d also like to draw attention to Willem Verweij’s blog post on The Art of Running in the Snow.  If you are a runner, this post is worth a read – check it out for tips that will help you improve your running form and avoid slipping and sliding when you exercise outside in the colder months.
