Did you know that most states have a nonprofit membership organization for… nonprofits?
These organizations are staffed by professionals to serve the needs of the nonprofit sector. They provide many different resources, including topics and tools in the areas of leadership and governance, management and operations, policies, etc.
Some of these organizations hold large conferences on an annual basis, such as the NH Center for Nonprofits Conference & Expo that Lexian sponsored and attended earlier this month. They also offer many smaller workshops and seminars to assist board and staff members of nonprofit organizations.
These organizations understand, first-hand, the challenges small nonprofit organizations face every day. By becoming a member, you can not only help your own nonprofit, but also your state’s nonprofit sector overall.
