July 2020 – Lauriane Lebrun, Marketing & Communications Coordinator

The New England Livery Association (NELA) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization working to support the livery industry in New England through advocacy, community, and education.  NELA membership is available to livery operators in New England, worldwide affiliate operators, and vendors offering relevant products/services such as insurance or reservation software.

The NELA hosts several events each year, including its annual golf tournament, the annual Chauffeur Appreciation Day cookout at Boston’s Logan Airport, and quarterly meetings.  NELA events provide opportunities for operators and vendors to come together for networking, industry updates, and educational presentations.  Recently, the NELA has held COVID-19-focused virtual “town hall” meetings and a webinar.

In Massachusetts, the NELA is actively involved in ground transportation industry-related legislation, especially relative to the regulation of Transportation Network Companies like Uber and Lyft.
