June 2020 – Lauriane Lebrun, Marketing & Communications Coordinator

The New Hampshire chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIANH) is a Portsmouth, NH-based nonprofit working to “illuminate the profession of architecture through advocacy, public outreach, education, fellowship, stewardship of our environment, and recognition of design excellence.”  The organization offers continuing education and networking opportunities to local architects, provides information to the public about hiring and working with architects, and monitors building-industry legislative issues.

The organization’s New Hampshire Architecture Foundation supports educational programs and future design professionals with scholarships and grants.  In addition, AIANH provides opportunities for architects of all skill levels to participate in competitions and win awards.

AIANH is currently preparing for its annual Excellence in Design Awards Celebration, which was originally scheduled for April 2nd but has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  This year’s event will also include a celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the NH chapter of AIA.
