December 2019 – Lauriane Lebrun, Marketing & Communications Coordinator

The Kittery Point Yacht Club (KPYC) is an amateur boating and yachting organization based in New Castle, NH.  The club is frequently represented by members in local, regional, and national boat racing events, and is a member of the US Sailing Association.

KPYC’s clubhouse, located on Goat Island in New Castle, boasts a wrap-around deck and scenic views of the Piscataqua River and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.  Members enjoy monthly social gatherings at the clubhouse, including happy hour events, potluck dinners, seasonal parties, and the Annual Club Lobster Bake.  In addition, members have the opportunity to rent out the clubhouse for their own private events.  Educational seminars, such as CPR training, are also available through KPYC.

The Kittery Point Yacht Club Sailing School—the only public sailing school and youth racing program in the NH Seacoast area—is a related program sponsored by KPYC.  The Sailing School offers training in small boats to junior and adult sailors, many of whom eventually go on to cruise and race larger boats in the KPYC fleet.
