October 2019 – Lauriane Lebrun, Marketing & Communications Coordinator

The Lexian E-News team is pleased to continue our Board Member Spotlight series by introducing Jason Dornhoffer, President of the New England Livery Association

As co-owner of United Private Car, Jason naturally has professional reasons for serving as a volunteer board member.  “If you care about your industry and rely on it for paying your bills, then you should consider contributing some of your time,” he recommends.  “As a volunteer, you can help to ensure that your industry remains strong for decades to come.  A lot of us are the owners of our companies, yet we find the time to help out because we understand that without a voice, we have very little to stand on.”

But Jason’s board involvement is more than just a professional obligation – it’s also a role he really enjoys.  “I have several favorite parts of being a board member, but one that sticks out the most is the opportunity to work with different people who bring different perspectives and ideas to the table,” he says.  “Another favorite is when we have a challenge but pull together as an organization and experience success.  We’ve had many successes over these past few years, and it’s a direct result of putting our energy into something that we all care about.”

When it comes to working with Lexian, Jason appreciates having a support team that “helps keep the NELA Board focused on the tasks at hand, whatever those tasks may be at the time.  We use Lexian for a variety of tasks, including facilitation of meetings, financial reporting, marketing, and industry advocacy.  Lexian has proved its worth to the NELA over and over by providing a service that achieves all of the above consistently.”
