Founded by Laurie and Rick Szilagyi in 1999, Lexian is a New Hampshire-based association management company offering wide-ranging expertise and a cost-effective model.
We know that for many nonprofits and small businesses, budget and time constraints often cause goals to go unaccomplished. But limited resources shouldn’t mean limited possibilities.

Meet the Lexian Team
Laurie Szilagyi, Principal
Having worked in the accounting center at Kraft Dairy Group before moving to the sales department as a sales analyst, Laurie brings her experience working with numbers to Lexian. With an interest in the arts, she enrolled in a certificate program at UNH to add graphic design knowledge to her skill set. As Lexian expanded its client base, she joined Rick full time in 2005 to provide bookkeeping, email marketing and desktop publishing services to clients. Today, Laurie’s responsibilities are primarily related to bookkeeping and accounting, providing oversight as well as carrying her own client list.
When not working in the office, Laurie enjoys cooking and baking, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
Rick Szilagyi, Principal
Rick graduated from Ursinus College with a B.S. in Biology, and earned a Master of Management degree with a major in Healthcare Administration from Penn State. Prior to Lexian Management, he worked on the business side of the clinical laboratory industry with Upjohn, SmithKline, and Corning. He co-founded Lexian Management in 1999.
At Lexian, Rick oversees marketing and administration, where he strives to keep up with Lauriane’s emails. He also provides executive services for Lexian’s clients, which gives him the opportunity to work closely with boards of directors, board committees, and lobbyists on regulatory and legislative issues.
Outside of the office, Rick likes to go kayak-camping in the Great North Woods. He also used to play tennis frequently, until his knees gave him the option to continue to play or walk without a limp.
Julie Daigle, Accounting
Julie graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Hospitality Management. Prior to joining Lexian, she spent several years providing bookkeeping and administrative services for small businesses.
Outside of the office, Julie stays busy with her husband and two boys, whether at one of many sporting events, skiing in the winter, or spending time at the lake or beach in the summer. At home, Julie also enjoys spending time in the backyard taking care of their mini farm of chickens and ducks.
Cheryl Landry, Accounting
Cheryl joined Lexian Management in February 2008. In her accounting role, she specializes in performing financial reporting for businesses and non-profit organizations. Her work includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer service, financial statements, financial year ends, membership renewals, payroll, and year-end tax reporting.
Prior to joining Lexian, Cheryl spent 14 years working in the accounting department of a major manufacturing company, and 8 years working for a CPA firm.
Lauriane Lebrun, Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Lauriane graduated summa cum laude from Southern New Hampshire University with a B.A. in English Language and Literature. She has also earned certifications in Inbound and Content Marketing through HubSpot Academy. Before joining the Lexian team in August 2017, Lauriane interned as an Online Communications Associate for the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial Association, and as a Marketing & Development Intern for the Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord-Merrimack County.
At Lexian, Lauriane assists with print and email marketing, event management, website management, membership administration, and administrative services. Her specialties also include to-do lists and sending Rick too many emails.
Outside of the office, Lauriane is a twenty-something/elderly woman who enjoys books, cats, tea, and occasional self-deprecating humor.
Ben Paraski, Accounting
Ben graduated magna cum laude from Great Bay Community College with an A.S. in Accounting. Shortly after joining the Lexian team, Ben began attending Southern New Hampshire University in pursuit of a B.S. in Accounting. Remember his name, for one day you may see him in the news as Amazon’s new CFO.
While not at Lexian or busy studying, Ben enjoys taking his elderly puggle on hikes through the White Mountains, watching any streaming service without commercials, and exploring the wonders of Excel.
